Phra Rahu Anniversary 6-8 Dec 2013
Phra Rahu anniversary festivities will be held on 6th, 7th and 8th Dec 2013 at the Phra Rahu temple located at 871 Upp Bukit Timah Road, Singapore 678174. The actual day of the anniversary is on the 8th, festivities will start earlier on the 6th with monks from Wat Burapharam Surin to give blessings to devotees.

This festival will be held at Wat Ananda Metyarama- 50B Jalan Bukit Merah Road, Singapore169545.
The definition of Loy Kratong is floating crown/decoration. This festival is adapted by Theravada Buddhists in Thailand to honor the Buddha, Prince Siddhartha Gautama. The candle venerates the Buddha with light, while the krathong's floating symbolizes letting go of all one's hatred, anger, and defilements.

Phra Rahu Temple In Singapore
There is actually a Phra Rahu temple in Singapore located at 871 Upp Bukit Timah Road, Singapore 678174. The 8 types of black food offerings to Phra Rahu is provided at the temple for a donation of $10 and it includes black joss sticks and a faux black rose. Wednesdays is the official day to pray to Phra Rahu and they are open till midnite. Parking is a bit scarce at the temple for people who drive. Please call and check for the opening hours for the rest of the days.

Ajahn Klang Saeng at Wat Ananda 20th Sep 2013
Ajahn Klang Saeng of Wat Khao Kut, Songkhla province was at Wat Ananda on 20 Sep 2013 for a few hours in the afternoon giving devotees blessings. He entered monkhood since 1996 and is also known as the 'golden mouth' monk as he has vowed not to speak since 2006.
